Take Our Survey
One of the goals of the Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) is to expand the available skill base for performing large volume measurement. Recently there has been a marked increase in interest for training and certification related to our industry. The CMS certification committee was established to investigate this need and has been actively meeting to develop a proposal for a centralized 3D coordinate metrologist certification. The committee has a diverse makeup with participants from metrology equipment and software manufacturers, service providers, academia, standards organizations, and industrial users.
In order to help direct the efforts of the certification committee, we would like your feedback related to the needs of a centralized certification process. Please take a few minutes to complete the following 5 minute survey.
We are expecting to combine the efforts of the certification committee with the feedback from this survey to present requirements for a proposed body of knowledge at a two hour workshop at this year's CMSC. As this body of knowledge will be the foundation for any future CMS certification effort, I would encourage you to participate.
Thank you for your support.
