Bob Elliott is a senior staff test engineer in the Precision Alignment Lab (PAL) for Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Sunnyvale, CA. As a member of PAL for 20 years Bob has had opportunities to solve many diverse metrology challenges on complex spacecraft. In 2011 Bob led the PAL team in a process improvement initiative that resulted in an estimated $11.5M annual savings. He strives to apply the latest in measurement technology to military, civil and commercial spacecraft.
Bob was a technical presenter at three CMSCs (2012, 2013, 2014). He is an active member of the Certification Committee and led the “Metrology Jeopardy” training in the Education Zone in 2015 and 2016. Bob would like to elevate his leadership in the growth of our society by serving on the Executive Committee.
Bob lives in Felton, California with his wife Jill and two sons. He enjoys auto and small engine mechanics, woodworking, weightlifting, running and off-road adventures in the deserts of Southern California and Nevada.
