What is Metrology? It’s the Science of Measurement!
What’s a “Metrologist”? No, it’s nothing to do with the weather, that’s a “meteorologist". Our members may measure anything from a full size airplane, the tool that made a small part of the aircraft, an automobile, a rocket ship, a generator, numerous composite products, submarines, machined parts and many more products. They routinely use portable measurement tools for quality assurance or, better yet, to assist in the assembly of such large items to avoid rejection at the end of the line.

High School and College students, young people from around the globe are encouraged to join us at the annual Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC).
