Abstract:  The Idaho Museum of Natural History is a repository of many and varied objects.  Like all museums, it is impossible to display everything in the collections. Many items are fragile, many are culturally sensitive and space in the gallery is limited.  Digitizing objects allows for not only online presentation, but for unlimited access for research, replication, restoration, and many others. In this paper I will describe the technology we use, the process we follow, and a short history of our facility and the projects we have completed.
