40th Annual Coordinate Metrology Society Conference to Take Place in Charlotte, North Carolina from July 22-25, 2024

40th Annual Coordinate Metrology Society Conference to Take Place in Charlotte, North Carolina from July 22-25, 2024

WEATHERFORD, TX – February 7, 2024 - The Coordinate Metrology Society announced that the 40th Annual Conference (CMSC) will be in Charlotte, North Carolina. This milestone event will be hosted at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte. CMSC has long been recognized for bringing together top metrology experts from manufacturing fields, industry leading technology providers, and a diverse group of users; and promises an impactful experience for all attendees.

Celebrating our 40th Anniversary!
In 1984, a group of attendees, seven metrology hardware manufacturers, and 15 speakers attended a workshop at the joint convention of the American Society of Photogrammetry and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping (ASP-ASCM). This enterprising group agreed to convene again six months later to further discuss critical issues, such as standards for target offset and shank diameter, optimum theodolite network configurations, and how to bring computers into the workforce. To commemorate metrology’s history and growth, the CMSC will host a Metrology Museum in the Measurement Zone during our five-day conference this year.

The Coordinate Metrology Society fosters innovation, knowledge exchange, and collaboration within the stationary and portable metrology communities. This year’s agenda will feature experts from the disciplines of 3D scanning, photogrammetry, in-line automation, reverse engineering, quality inspection, precision alignment, and digital manufacturing.

Attendees can participate in workshops, join networking events, get hands on demonstrations of metrology hardware and software on the exhibit floor, and attend technical presentations from industry experts.
