Michael Campbell is a higher research scientist at the National Physical Laboratory
In the United Kingdom. For the past two years he has been working within the
dimensional metrology group, particularly on the development of their novel wide field frequency scanning interferometer system. Previous to this he acheived his Ph.D
at the royal observatory at the University of Edinburgh, and worked at the instituto de astrofisica in Tenerife.
