James Mansell leads the the Rolls-Royce Measurement Excellence programme, from the company's central measurement team in Derby, UK. This focused measurement improvement programme was established in 2007 to develop the measurement capability, technology, standards and training across the Rolls-Royce global measurement community. The team works across the Aerospace, Marine, Nuclear and Energy sectors.
James has a background in Manufacturing Engineering, joining the company following a degree at Loughborough University and has since specialised in the measurement field for the past 5 years. Currently he is working on the deployment of the Nadcap Measurement & Inspection audit programme within Rolls-Royce. He is also Responsible for the ownership of the Large Volume Metrology subject area and supports key projects across all sectors within the company.
