Keith Bevan

Keith Bevan is the National Physical Laboratory's (NPL) Training Network Delivery Manager, responsible for the delivery network activities of NPL's training framework, training materials and quality of delivery.  
Keith has been involved in measurement for 40 years having joined Rolls-Royce Ltd (aero engines) in 1975 as an apprentice working across a range of metrology activities including engine testing, manufacturing, co-ordinate metrology and calibration.  During the mid-1980s Keith was employed at Jaguar Cars working in a variety of co-ordinate metrology roles.  In late 1989 Keith embarked on a new career in traing and education and is still actively involved in passing on his experience to others.  Keith's training and educational role made use of his measurement knowledge in training students on co-ordinate Metrology and conventional measuring equipment with Mitutoyo UK Ltd.


Since 1995 Keith has been involved in developing and implementing metrology training frameworks and global training solutions.  He is also active in supporting standards committees and the development of Good Practice Guides for industry.


During 2012, Keith was part of the NPL Training team that won a Manufacturing Industry "Best training scheme" award through the Manufacturers Technologies Association (MTA).  Keith was also recognized with a Serco Inspirational Leadership Award and a Global Innovation Award for setting the standard in the science of measurement.


Keith is now actively involved in the development and implementation of different learning solution through not only the classroom scenario, but also e-Learning and blended learning in metrology
