Call for Papers Now Open for 2020 Coordinate Metrology Society Conference

Abstracts are welcome from Master Practitioners of Portable and Traditional CMM Technologies

 

Weatherford, TX – December 17, 2019 – The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) today announced the official call for technical papers for their Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC) to be held July 20 – 24, 2020 in New Orleans, LA. In its 36th year, the CMS will again host an interactive educational conference for novice and expert users of portable and stationary measurement solutions. For the first time, abstract submissions will be accepted from experts working in the traditional CMM field, in addition to master practitioners from the portable metrology discipline. Commercial content is not accepted. The CMS community convenes each year to learn about breakthroughs in measurement technologies and emerging trends impacting manufacturing, scientific research, and data-driven quality platforms. Coordinate Metrology Society Finalizes CMSC 2019 Program with a Metrology Career Workshop and More

Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference Begins on July 22, 2019 in Orlando, FL

Orlando, FL – July 3, 2019 – The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) today announced its final schedule of events for the 35th annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) from July 22 - 26, 2019 at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld® in Orlando, Florida.  The conference is widely recognized for its extensive slate of original technical papers and presentations delivered by industry experts from around the globe. CMSC 2019 will get underway with a New Attendee Orientation/Welcome at 5:30pm on Monday, July 22, followed by the customary CMSC Icebreaker for all attendees and exhibitors at 6:30pm. On Wednesday morning, July 24, the CMS will host its annual 5 Billion Micron Fun Run/Walk at 6am. CMSC 2019 Keynote Speaker Presents The Future of 3D Metrology

Orlando, FL – May 29, 2019 – The Coordinate Metrology Society® (CMS) today announced Michael Raphael, President of Direct Dimensions and a veteran metrologist, will give the keynote address at the 2019 Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC) from July 22 – 26, 2019. The event will be held at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld® in Orlando, Florida. This event will mark the 35th year of the premiere conference dedicated to portable and traditional coordinate measuring machine (CMM) measurement professionals. In keeping with the spirit of this landmark gathering, Mr. Raphael will address the CMS at 8:45am on Tuesday, July 23 with a presentation entitled The Future of 3D Metrology. Coordinate Metrology Society Welcomes Former Astronaut Dr. Bonnie Dunbar at the 35th CMSC

Orlando, FL – May 20, 2019 – The Coordinate Metrology Society® (CMS) today announced former NASA astronaut, engineer, and educator Dr. Bonnie Dunbar will be their featured guest speaker at the annual banquet during the 2019 Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC), July 22 – 26, 2019. The event will be held at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld® in Orlando, Florida.  Dr. Dunbar is currently a TEES Distinguished Research Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering, at Texas A&M University.  She is the director of the Institute for Engineering Education Innovation (IEEI). In 2013, Dunbar was inducted into the Astronaut Hall of Fame, and is highly decorated receiving the NASA Space Flight Medal five times, the NASA Exceptional Leadership Medal and the NASA Distinguished Service Medal. For the past year, the CMS has paid tribute to women who have played a key role, past and present, in the history of metrology.  The CMS is excited to welcome Dr. Dunbar as their very special guest. CMS Opens the Vault Door to its Legacy of
Measurement Knowledge, Research and Advances

Weatherford, TX – September 4, 2018 – The Coordinate Metrology Society® (CMS) today announced the launch of its new digital library of original technical papers delivered by metrology experts over the past twelve years at its annual conference — the Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC). The library is an online archival of over 100 technical papers and journals covering a broad range of industry topics including 3D measurement, inspection, assembly, best practices, new innovations and more. The release of these valuable assets is meant to further support the research, development and progression of advanced manufacturing, scientific studies, industry standards, and Smart Factory initiatives. Developed in partnership with Quality Digest, publisher of the Journal of the CMSC since 2006the periodical is distributed twice a year in the Autumn and Spring by the Coordinate Metrology Society. Each issue devotes its pages to the finest white papers presented by industry professionals at the annual CMSC.
