Boeing

Richard Noll is a Manufacturing Analyst and Portable 3D metrology Focal for the Boeing company in the Auburn Tooling Services division. He is located in Washington State. Richard first started with Portable Metrology when he worked for the Northrop company on the B2 master model program using a mutli-headed Theodolite system. Since then he has worked on both many military, space and commercial programs using tools from articulated arms and laser trackers to film based and digital Photogrammetry. His current assignment is documenting best practices, incorporating that into instructor led, web based and structured on the job training material using tools like RoboHelp, Captivate, and video. Rick is also recognized with field assignments on the History, Discovery, Outdoor Life and Nat Geo channels sometimes as talent, sometimes subject matter expert, but most of time just a Bigfoot lure.

Today Rick is going to talk about an employee improvement project he was asked to help with concerning OSHA concerns and the 23 Leica AT901 Laser Trackers being used in Auburn.
