CMS Announces CMSC 2018 Call for Papers

Scott Sandwith

CMSC Expands Audience to Include CMM

Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) join our suite of Portable Measuring Systems

The Coordinate Metrology Society encourages anyone engaged in measurement to consider presenting at CMSC. Whether you are involved in fixed or portable coordinate measuring equipment, contact or non-contact methodologies, production, research and development, innovation and academia, education and training, we need you to tell the global engineering community about diverse applications of 3D metrology to improve processes, productivity, and the user experience. What was a success, a challenge, the types of products and innovative ideas that are driving the future of metrology such as the Smart Factory, 3D printing, artificial intelligence (AI), automation and manufacturing cells, and other trends that unlock the potential of 3D metrology technologies.

For the first time, CMSC is opening its Call for Papers to the Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) community in addition to its portable measurement society.

Call for papers now open to ALL measurement professionals

Scott Sandwith discusses the addition of CMMS to this year's conference and technical paper roster.

Serving as the CMS Executive Vice Chair this year, Sandwith will discuss the Call for Papers process, and for the first time, the opening of the call to stationary metrology experts in addition to portable metrologists. He will also cover the range of topical categories for technical papers and presentations including applications, research and development, new technology and more.
