CMSC Dallas: Premier Metrology Education Week

By attending the CMST training classes you can earn “CMS Certificates of Completion” in up to 10 different sessions with the benefit of Continuing Education Units


The Coordinate Metrology Society invites metrology hardware and software manufacturers, exhibitors, vendors, and industry suppliers to partner with us in delivering the expanded Coordinate Metrology Society Training (CMST) program at CMSC 2026.

From Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24, 2026, CMSC will host a full week of integrated conference and technical training. This expanded format creates a unique opportunity for industry leaders to showcase expertise, provide hands-on education, and position their organizations at the forefront of innovation and workforce development. (Conference Registration is Required.) 

Coordinate Metrology Society Education: Training sessions will be available from the 20th to 24th July 2026 and each session will be up to 90 minutes in duration. The following information gives a brief course title and description. Further information will be made available shortly.

Education agenda July 2026

 

  • Monday 20th July  
    • Large-scale Metrology session incorporating theory and practical measurement tasks
    • Training development strategies – developing training sessions to support your internal upskilling or reskilling of employees
    • Online learning through the 3DMU and NPL learning management Systems
  • Tuesday 21st July
    • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) fundamentals and digital design applications. (Tuesday & Wednesday Only)
    • CMM- 3 & 5 axis scanning, and multi-sensor program integration.
    • CMM- Programming with flow controls for variables in manufacturing
    • CMS Professional certification preparation course to support the theory and practical activities.
    • Original Equipment Manufacturers' hardware and software-specific technical training.
    • Online learning through the 3DMU and NPL learning management Systems

  • Wednesday 22nd July
    • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) fundamentals and digital design applications. (Tuesday & Wednesday Only)

  • Measurement and Education Zone
  • Coordinate Measurement ‘hands on’ activities  available within the Measurement Zone and Educational discussions, question and answer sessions, Metrology Jeopardy, spotlights on new technology and CMS updates all available in the Education Zone.

Training Session Overview 

For information: This year we are offering two registration tracks in support of your application for budgets to attend the training depending on your reason to attend:

  • CMSC:  Coordinate Metrology Society Conference: Monday – Thursday conference with free training all day Monday and Friday along with Tuesday – Thursday afternoons.
  • CMST:  Coordinate Metrology Society Training:  Training all day Monday and Friday and Tuesday – Thursday afternoons with a free conference Monday – Thursday

Conference Registration is Required: Daily and Full-Week Options are available, and both Registration include tickets to the Monday Night Icebreaker.  Please contact education@CMSC.org for more information. 

 

The Training rooms will be free on Monday and Friday with a 30 day period to send us the topic and if a closed or open session.

Training rooms Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will cost $300 for 4 hours either in morning 8-12 or after lunch 1-5pm.
